Account deletion
If you want to delete your Chefino account and associated personal data, you can do it directly inside the app. If you are unable to access the app, you can request deletion via email.

How to delete your account
- Open the Chefino app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings (App Settings).
- In the Account section, tap Delete account.
- Confirm by tapping Yes, delete my account.
After a successful deletion, you will be signed out and redirected to the login screen.
What happens when you delete your account
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
When you confirm deletion in the app, our backend processes a deletion request for your account.
- Account access is removed: your authentication user is deleted, so you can no longer sign in with that account.
- Your personal content is removed: your profile data, pantry items, shopping lists, recipes and saved items, and household-related data associated with your account are deleted as part of the account removal flow.
- Owned households: if you own a household, it is deleted as part of the deletion flow.
- Avatar: if you uploaded an avatar stored as a file, we attempt to remove it from storage.
- Anonymized stats: aggregated/anonymized usage data (such as recipe generation counters) may be retained for analytics and service improvement. Where applicable, it is stored without your user identifier.
In line with our retention policy, personal data will be permanently removed or anonymized within 30 days (e.g. to account for technical processing, logs, and backups).
If you can’t access the app
Email support@chefino.ai with the subject Account Deletion Request and include the email address
you used to sign up. We may ask for additional information to verify account ownership before processing the request.
